Tiff & Rach here. Our story comes together and becomes interwoven beginning in October of 2022. There was a theft and a reckoning. We were at a Fascia Stretch Training in Arizona and Tiff absconded with Rach’s manual by mistake. There was then a friendship pickleball outing followed by a steak dinner after changing clothes in the hatch of one Kia Soul. That was all she wrote. Our wacky antics and personal histories were dotted with many similarities including but not limited to: many jobs, high performance, people pleasing, not enough sleep (not nearly enough), clydesdale eras, self abandonment, body dysmorphia, pain, dissociation, and humor (to cover it all up). This long list of travesties led us to the place we were then and also now, which was a long road of recovery marked by: acknowledgement, taking care of ourselves first, striving to be 1% better everyday, boundaries, self care, self awareness, movement, quality nutrition, quality relationships, water features, and sunshine.
We have had many educational journeys together which now totals 7 trainings: 1000+ hours of intensive bodywork education, dissection, philosophy and hands-on therapy work. This togetherness education was preceded by our own self study, massage therapy school and other educational backgrounds. All that to say, we like to stay curious. This curiosity that we share has been the base of our desire to learn about ourselves and share that experience with others. Many people we have met and worked with have seen themselves at some point in our stories. We all share commonalities whether it be overworking, tuning out, undersleeping, pain, injury, learning to tune in and make changes, learning that you matter. All of these experiences knit us into the greater experience that we share as humans.
As the knowbodies, our goal is to help you see yourself. To help you see not only with your eyes or vision, but to truly feel where you are and who you are. Getting to know yourself through the lens of your fascia, or connective tissue web, is a beautiful place to start. Through the coursework that we studied, Anatomy Trains Structural Integration, we learned tools to help us help others feel themselves more clearly. Our goal is to share that work and practical ways that you can learn to attune, or tune in to what you’re feeling and what your body needs in light of that.
